The team at the Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health (CMIH) is made up of public health practitioners, social workers, and clinicians – including physicians, nurses, and lactation consultants. We have a deep bench of experience in implementation planning, operationalization, research, and evaluation; interprofessional education, including multisensory training development designed for adult learners; and qualitative methods, including interviews, focus groups, graphic narration, and photovoice.
CMIH provides extensive technical assistance around topics of preconception, perinatal, and reproductive health, both in NC and beyond, and engages patient and community partners to create multi-modal health education materials. We also assist grant-makers and other funders in understanding the context of maternal and infant health in NC and help identify opportunities for strategic investment.
Whether you’re a UNC researcher who needs help with a project, an organization that needs technical assistance, or a funder who wants to take an idea from seed to fruition, CMIH would like to help! Email us at CMIH@med.unc.edu to start the conversation.
