The calculator is an estimate of the probability of NICU admission greater than 3 days among women who present with threatened late preterm birth. It was derived from the cohort of women enrolled in the MFMU ALPS trial and thus may not be generalizable to all populations. For example, institution-specific practices and neonatal intensive care unit admission policies may vary.
