Kristin Resnik is the Perinatal Nurse Champion for Region IV. For the past fifteen years she has staffed a nurse at UNC Women’s Hospital in Labor and Delivery and GYN/Oncology. She was involved in many quality initiatives and is passionate about ensuring that all the women of North Carolina have access to safe, evidence-based, quality, patient-centered care. Kristin was inspired to become a nurse after working at a Maternal and Child Health Organization that developed public health programs for the developing world. Kristin graduated from UNC-CH School of Nursing in 2005 and has a Bachelor of Arts (Religious Studies and Studio Art) from Scripps College in California. Kristin is a nurse provider of Behavioral Activation therapy for women experiencing perinatal depression/anxiety with the SUMMIT trial and is an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
