Driving Directions to UNC Hospitals

UNC Hospitals are located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Women's Hospital, the Children's Hospital, the Neurosciences Hospital and the North Carolina Memorial Hospital are located next to one another on Manning Drive. The address is 101 Manning Drive. Visitor parking is located directly across the street from the hospital complex in the Dogwood Deck. Parking rates are $1.00 per hour with a daily maximum charge of $6.00.

Below is a map of the main roads leading to UNC. Interstate 40 is one of the best ways to get here if you are coming from a long distance.

If you are coming from the east, take Interstate 40 to exit 273 A (the second exit), which is Highway 54 going west toward Chapel Hill. Follow Highway 54 for several miles until you reach Highway 15-501 South. Take 15-501 South toward the Dean Smith Center. Turn right when you reach Manning Drive. After a few blocks you will reach UNC Hospitals on your right. The Dogwood parking deck will be on your left across the street from the hospital.

If you are coming from the west, you may be taking Interstate 85 to Interstate 40. Take Interstate 40 to exit 273 (Highway 54). Turn right at the ramp onto Highway 54 west toward Chapel Hill. Follow Highway 54 for several miles until you reach Highway 15-501 South. Take 15-501 South toward the Dean Smith Center. Turn right when you reach Manning Drive. After a few blocks you will reach UNC Hospitals on your right. The Dogwood parking deck will be on your left across the street from the hospital.

If you are coming from the south on Interstate 85, take the Interstate 40 split towards Chapel Hill and Raleigh. Continue east on Interstate 40 and follow the directions above for coming from the east.

If you are coming from the north on Interstate 85, exit at Highway 15-501 in Durham south towards Chapel Hill. Continue on 15-501 past Interstate 40, and when the road splits stay to your left  (do not take Franklin Street toward UNC/Downtown). Turn right when you reach Manning Drive. After a few blocks you will reach UNC Hospitals on your right. The Dogwood parking deck will be on your left across the street from the hospital.

If you are coming from either north or south on Interstate 95, take Interstate 40 to the west, and follow the directions above for coming from the east.
